China to meet representatives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

China has just agreed to meet representatives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, while not the Face to face meetings between His Holiness and Hu Jintao that His Holiness had asked for it is too soon to say, just what the meetings will achieve or who they will involve.

Hopefuly they will be more than the window dressing that the last round of talks transpired to be. At every juncture it transpired that the Chinese delegation had no room for movement and ultimately the series of talks ended in absolutely no concrete agreements.
