Today Tibetan and Syrian protestors came together to protest outside the Chinese Embassy in London.
The regular Tibetan demonstration was jjoined by Syrians outraged at China's support of their murderous government which is currently ruthlessly crushing a popular uprising by the people of Syria who are tired of their lack of freedom. The Syrian government is now bombing whole towns in Syria while denying it is doing so.
The Tibetans who have lived under Chinese rule for over 60 years face an ever increasing lockdown on their freedom of expression and are facing a kind of cultural genocide in Tibet. Today reports of another self imoliation in Tibet speaking about today's events in Tibet Kanyag Tsering was quoted by Radio Free Asia as saying: "The Tibetans in Tibet are aware of the exile Tibetans' global solidarity protest today, and as a result there was a massive security presence in Ngaba. During the daytime, almost no Tibetans were seen in the street. The self-immolation took place in the evening, when the security forces had considerably withdrawn from the scene.”
