Dear Madam, dear Sir, leaders of Tibetan cause,
We have known Mr Thupten Gyatso for many years and his involvement in Tibetan cause.
He is greatly devoted in giving lectures in whole France. He has hosted numerous TV shows, including in 2008 all along Beijing Olympic Games. His words are clear and measured.
He was also very appreciated by Mrs Claude B.Levenson.
He came several times at our place, in Drôme, in the south-east of France, to give lectures, for example alongside Mrs Jetsun Pema he accompanied in June 2008. He met Mr Hervé
Mariton, our Deputy-mayor who was Minister in the last French government.
Along that visit, we decided to host two young Tibetans who previously lived in Paris, to give them a scholarship education and bring them to the final term of their studies.
Mrs Jetsun Pema made this request. Mr Thupten Gyatso helped us to achieve it. He has consulted with many young people wishing to pursue studies in France and guided them in
their career choice.
Mr Thupten Gyatso became our partner as President of Tibetan Community in France in the convention (agreement) we signed with the Deputy-mayor of Crest, Hervé Mariton, who
greatly appreciates him.
He has always been attentive to our problems with those young students and has always given us good advice.
He is a nice man, dedicated, hardworker, intelligent, and selfless. Indeed, he has never sought for any financial compensation for his lectures, that is not true to everyone.
His ability to speak several languages, and mainly French, that is important, makes him an excellent representative.
We wish him a successful career within the Tibetan Government in exile, hoping that he will not be too far from France so that we keep a very good representative.
Respectfully yours,
Annie de Langloy
